Consecration Sunday and Mite Boxes – March 1
Â
This Sunday, we set aside time to prayerfully bring our commitments to the Lord in Worship. You are invited to bring with you the blue form handed out last Sunday. The forms will not be read and destroyed immediately after worship. If you did not receive the form, there is one attached to this email and there are extra copies available at the back of the church. Also, please remember to bring your “Mite Boxes” filled with coins and/or dollars for the annual LWML collection. Your generosity will go towards funding LWML Mission Grants all over the world!Â
Â
The Lenten Food Drive to assist the Ysleta Lutheran Mission with their weekly food distribution will begin on Ash Wednesday, February 18th:
LWML will be collecting non-perishable food during the Season of Lent; we are inviting the congregation to join us in this Lenten Outreach project, once again. Non-perishable foods: canned fruits and vegetables, pasta, small bags of pinto beans and/or rice (16-ounce size), and cereal are the most needed items. Any items you would like to donate may be placed on the designated table in the Auditorium. Thanks, in advance, for your participation!
Wednesday Lent Worship and Supper
Â
Please join us on Wednesdays during Lent for Worship at 6:30 pm. A soup and Sandwich meal/fellowship will begin at 5:15 pm prior to the service.
New Member Meeting next Sunday, March 8
 Â
There will be a meeting after worship for those interested in becoming members of Zion and for anyone wanting to get involved. Pastor Kirk will explain what it means to be a member and information on the many ways to serve at Zion. Lunch will be provided
Bible Camp Meeting—March 15th
We’re looking for volunteers to help out with Bible Camp this Summer. There will be a short meeting after worship for basic details about the program and how you can help!
Sunday Worship Services
Worship Services are at 10:30 am followed by a short time of fellowship to meet and connect with each other. We hope to see you there!
Sunday Morning Bible Study
Join us Sunday mornings at 9:15 am for a study on the book of John presented by Pastor Kirk.
Sunday School for Children and Youth at 9:15AM
Zion’s Board of Education is excited to partner with parents on a new Sunday School curriculum designed for children and youth to grow in faith. Each week, kids will learn lessons that match the topic of Pastor’s sermon. The goal is to create family discussions around God’s word.
Men’s Breakfast and Bible Study – Saturdays at 9:30am
All men of Zion are welcome!
Handbell and Choir Practice – Saturdays
David is always looking for people to help fill our services with beautiful arrangements for worship. No prior experience needed. Handbells begin at 9am and choir at 11am.
Altar Flowers for 2026
There is a calendar posted at the back of the sanctuary with many available dates. We order flowers from a local shop throughout the year. They do a very nice job at a reasonable cost of $23 per arrangement. If you would like to provide flowers for a particular Sunday, just sign up for that date and place your flower donation in a marked envelope in the offering plate or online and be sure to take your flowers home.
Portals of Prayer Daily Devotion Books
Are available at the church entrance and in the Auditorium. Please take one home with you!
