Today we welcomed Pastor Kirk Triplett to our church! At the installation service we were blessed to have so many people from surrounding churches join our choir for the day to help us celebrate, along with some fantastic musicians. We ended the afternoon with an amazing potluck put on by Zion's LWML and members of the congregation. This morning we were joined by some fantastic trumpeters who helped with our music. The Children's Bible Study today enjoyed some Thanksgiving crafts and snacks during their classes today. Thanks to Mary Sanchez, the Education Wing is decorated so beautifully for the season! Pastor Howard Patten today led us through selections of John 12 during his sermon. Jennifer and Lynnette lead the Children's Bible Study every Sunday. Everyone has so much fun! Today for Reformation Sunday Tim Eyerman led our Bible Study this morning, and Pastor Howard Patten was once again with us for our worship service! Today is LWML Sunday, we are celebrating our ladies who "Serve the Lord with Gladness" Today marked the first day our Handbell Choir played during worship! The acolytes during our worship service today. Thank you once again Pastor Patten for preaching for our service this Sunday! Thank you Pastor Howard for continuing to lead our worship services! Today we are celebrating with a reception for Pastor Howard Patten's 89th birthday! Today Allen performed "The King of Love My Shepherd Is" on violin during our offering. Today Bruce accompanied a guest musician, a singer, Alex, during our offering. Today Pastor Patten led us in a blessing for children and teachers who are now returning to school, and Jennifer, Jean, and Lynette hosted a hot dog lunch where they handed out gift bags to the kids. Thank you Edwin for leading our Bible Study this morning, and a big thank you to Pastor Michael Schuetzler for leading out worship service! Jim Smith, Elder, led our Bible Study today, and Pastor Howard Patten preached. Thank you both! Thank you Bruce Nehring for playing the organ for our church service today. It is always a blessing to hear you play! Today we bid farewell to Pastor Stephen Heimer and his family. They will be greatly missed, but we pray that God continues to use them to do His good work.
