Masks while indoors? Recommended but not required – You are welcome to wear a mask at Zion and maintain social distancing as is recommended, but not universally required, by the CDC and the recent health ordinance of El Paso County. When you arrive, please let an usher know your distancing preference for seating. Disposable masks are available near the church entrance for those who wish to wear one but do not have one. The funeral service for Barbara Laux will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Zion Lutheran Church.

Barbara Ann Laux was born March 1, 1952, to Raymond and Marcella Laux in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She graduated from community college and went to work for RBC Investments, where she stayed for 44 years, retiring in 2014. After retiring, Barb moved to Santa Teresa, New Mexico to be closer to family. Barb was a member of the Red Hat Society. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where she volunteered with the Day School Children, and joined the Altar Guild, and Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. Barb was also an active member of the Laureate Gamma Zeta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. Barb loved to travel, especially taking cruises with family and friends, and joining in family gatherings. She went to be with her Lord on June 3, 2021, after a long battle with diabetes-related illnesses. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, David, Gloria, and Raymond, Jr. Barb is survived by numerous cousins and friends in Minnesota, New Mexico and Texas.
