Children love God’s Word. They think deeply about the world and about God. Parents grow close and strong in heart as they lead their families in learning, praying, and singing the faith. Download these free materials to use at home and anywhere you connect with your family (even online!)

Download “At Home in the Word”
Put together by Pastor Stephen each week, “At Home in the Word” includes a:
- Memory Verse
- Inspirational Psalm for Memorization
- Theme-related Prayer
- Passage from the Old Testament, Epistle, and Gospel
- Hymns
- Selection from the Small Catechism
Repetition yields memorization, contemplation, and deeper understanding. Draw from these scriptures, prayers, catechetical materials, and hymn(s) throughout your week of personal and family devotion, prayer, or homeschool family instruction. Then let them resonate in new ways as we all gather in worship on Sunday.
Use any or all of each week’s selections at mealtimes, at bedtime, or any point in your day. The key is use the same selection(s) each day of the week so that with repetition, God’s Word will be committed to memory and reside in the hearts and minds of your family in every season of life to come. At the end of each week switch to the next “At Home in the Word” sheet and the fresh set of scriptures, prayers, and songs.
Didn’t get everything memorized or explored this week that you wanted? Don’t worry. Move forward to the new week anyway, knowing that God will accomplish His good purpose in what was done this week.
