Best Practices for Ministry for and with Members of the Military
What a blessing to be in El Paso and have the presence of so many members of the military and their families. Zion has a rich history of worshiping and growing in Christ alongside those who come to us via Ft. Bliss, Holloman, and White Sands. Every family has their own makeup, mission, and time frame that impacts their experience in El Paso. We are so pleased to be able to minister to and with them while they are here.
Right now, we have an additional blessing and opportunity here with us in El Paso. Chaplain, Lieutenant Colonel, Steven Hokana is a LCMS chaplain with a long career serving in the military. He has a PhD in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. He is the teacher of chaplains and is regularly flown around the country to teach and present on topics of the military and Christian ministry. Currently he is stationed in El Paso at William Beaumont Medical Center and is very happy to share some “Best Practices” with us.
Zion has invited him to come and share these with us. This presentation is for all who are interested, not just pastors and not just members of Zion. Please save the date and join us.
