Bad Traffic and Trials

You might have noticed that the traffic each morning and evening on I-10 has been NUTS! It provides a dangerous, daily test of our driving abilities and discipline (no texting!). The accidents we occasionally see are no surprise especially when the rain begins to fall.

Life also is NUTS! when our jobs become unsure, family problems arise, health fails, and trials mount. God tells us, “Beloved, don’t be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed…. Let none of you suffer as a murderer or a thief or an evildoer or as a meddler. Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name. (1 Peter 4:12-16)” Jesus entered into the trials of life so that they wouldn’t define us or be the end of us, rather, that we would have His victory by His death and resurrection for us.

Be safe out there, drivers! Cling to Christ in every trial, Christians!
